Retraining for onboard engineers on Mi-8 (Mi-8AMT, Mi-171)

Brief course description

Program of conversion course (retraining) from other helicopter types to Mi-8/17 series (Mi-8AMT, Mi-171 and its modifications) helicopters for onboard engineers. Designed for onboard engineers who have not operated any helicopters of Mi-8/17 series previously. Training is organized in the aviation training center of Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, a manufacturer of Mi-8AMT, Mi-171 helicopters. Flight training is available at the customer's location as well.

Duration of training

28 days (152 academic hours)

Language

Russian (translation into other languages is possible, negotiated at request)

Practical training

Simulator training - 6 hours
Flight training - 4 hours

Onboard engineer is trained with other crew members. If a crew which is being trained lacks one or more members, they are replaced by instructors.

Theoretical training

Theoretical training - 130 academic hours
Ground training - 8 academic hours

Certification process

4 exams and 4 tests; Flight exam (test flights)

Outcome document

In the end of the course student recieves certifying document of conversion (retraining)
